Service Offerings

Services are provided on an hourly basis with a mutually agreed upon duration.

I work with a sliding scale pricing model (a trust-based system rooted in the Green Bottle Method as devised by Alexis J. Cunningfolk) to ensure access to death care for the whole community.  If the Community Access price feels like a barrier, please reach out and we can discuss options.

The service descriptions below provide a glimpse of what each offering can look like, but are certainly not limited to these.  Deathcare takes many forms and ultimately my job is to tailor things to best fit your needs and wishes. So if you don’t see something explicitly listed here, feel free to ask if that is something I can provide.  I am delighted to get as creative with you as you’d like and need.

Please note, all of my support is non-medical, and my offerings do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or mental health services. I will be happy to provide you with a list of local, certified professionals for those needs. Additionally, at this time I am not offering bedside vigil (aka 11th hour) support, but as a member of the DC Death Collective, I would be delighted to connect you with another doula who is providing that level of care.

A free 30 minute consultation will help us both determine what your needs are and if we’ll be a good fit for each other.

Additionally, as my work is rooted in community, I offer grief circle facilitation, grief craft & art making, group death education, Death Cafe facilitation, and community altar creation & tending.  If you have a community space or small business and are interested in bringing conversations about death and grief out of isolation and back into community, I would love to explore some creative ideas for collaboration.

For anyone who would prefer a package-style payment option in lieu of hourly rates, please ask, I’d be happy to draft some options.

Please Note:  There is never any charge for services related to an infant death (child up to 1 year of age).
